Twitition helps you create, sign and share petitions with people on Twitter. Twitition has just been launched and has already attracted a lot of attention from Twitter users.
At first glance
At first glance it looks like a neat little tool. Anybody with a Twitter account can interact with Twitition using their existing Twitter account details. On the homepage you can view the most popular petitions and simply click the button to sign it. Below these are the latest petitions that have been created.
Features I like
If you create your own petition, such as “Ban Comic Sans forever!” a tweet is generated into your Twitter stream so your contacts are made aware of it, with a direct link to the petition to sign if they wish to. Same goes if any body you are following creates a petition you’ll be made aware of it too.
Features I’m not keen on
Currently you are forced to auto-follow @twitition on Twitter if you interact with the service, something others may also find off putting.
Your stream can very quickly clog up with these Twitition tweets if a particular petition gets picked up by a few of your contacts, swamping your Twitter stream. I can see the reasoning for having an auto-tweet feature for new and signed petitions but this could be Twititions undoing, a victim of it’s own success.
In summary
Twitition is fun, simple and easy to use. With a few tweaks to it’s behaviour Twitition could be a massive success.

Hello! We have already listened to our users and have stopped the auto feed of tweets, we certainly don’t want to clog up your twitter feeds. We still maintain the auto-follow however this is so we can highlight major Twititions as they happen.
We are hoping to add a feature request and support section soon so we can iron out any bugs!
Glad you like it.
Keep twititioning.

Excellent news. I’m sure the service will be tweaked and modified early doors and that user feedback is taken on board. I’m lovin the service, some serious petitions opened and a few funny ones.
