The Floating Frog are proud to announce the recent commission of a new cutting edge HTML5 web app for Online Theory Tests for a leading online car insurance company.
CarInsurance.org.uk, a leading car insurance company that allows users to compare insurance quotes from 124 insurance companies, has commissioned The Floating Frog to design and develop a HTML5 web application that allows users to test their theory test knowledge for free. Unlike currently available online theory tests, this application will generate 50 random theory test questions every time a test is started, rather than a fixed set of questions. Users will be against the clock as they answer a series of single and multiple choice questions. Once the lesson is completed, the participants will see their score and have options to share them via social channels such as Facebook and Twitter.
Using new technologies, this HTML5 web application will be compatible on a wide range of devices including desktops, tablets and mobile devices.
Managing Director Gary Hartley added:
After the successful launch of the main CarInsurance.org.uk website, that is fully desktop/Tablet/Mobile, we’re now embarking on an initiative to help raise the brand awareness for the company. This web application is truly next generation and will support a wide range of user devices. Time is a real commodity these days so it’s important to have access to this invaluable application where ever a user is, whether it’s on a tablet device while on a train or maybe even on a Smartphone on a lunch break.
The Online Theory Test application will be supported on a wide range of devices such as Desktops, Tablets and Smartphones.
The most exciting part of this project is the option for website operators to embed the application on their own websites. A simple line of embed code will allow companies like driving instructors to offer the service for free to their students.
The application is currently in production and will be ready to use in Q3 2012.
